San Diego, Calif. — Hollywood actors and professional athletes will hit the green at Maderas Golf Club on Monday, March 16, 2009, to help Fresh Start Surgical Gifts transform the lives of children with physical deformities through the gift of reconstructive surgery. Co-hosts of the tournament are Alfonso Ribeiro, known for winning Fox’s Celebrity Duets and for his role as “Carlton” on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and Grant Show, who starred on Melrose Place and the CBS show, Swingtown.
The fun starts the night prior to golf with guest speaker NFL superstar and former Charger, Lorenzo Neal, dinner, cocktails, and a silent/live auction. One fabulous night and full day of golf, and you can help provide fresh starts to children with deformities.
During the tournament, each foursome will be paired with a celebrity to participate in contests and sample delicious food and beverages, from a variety of local restaurants, at each hole. Celebrities participating this year include: André Reed, Marcus Allen, Junior Seau, Darren Carrington, Seth Joyner, Tina Mickelson, Phil Nevin, David Justice, Hank Bauer, Eric Weddle, Mike Scifres, and 3 models from Deal or No Deal!

Fresh Start is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Carlsbad, California that provides free reconstructive surgery, laser treatments, speech therapy and dental procedures for disadvantaged children and young adults with physical deformities.
